Scope of the licensed dataset
This licensing page applies to the published dataset snapshot 2026.3 (dated 2026-03-10), currently covering 1,826,607 records across 121 countries/territories.
Dataset fields include postal code, locality labels, administrative levels, and approximate WGS84 coordinates.
Primary dataset license (ODbL 1.0)
Postalcodes.info datasets are published under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. This license allows copying, distributing, and adapting the database, including commercial use, provided attribution is preserved and share-alike obligations are met when applicable.
Editorial website materials (text, layout, interface, branding) are not part of the dataset license and may be subject to separate legal terms.
What reuse is generally allowed
- Use in internal analytics, geocoding support pipelines, and business intelligence dashboards.
- Integration into products and services, including paid offerings, with proper attribution.
